New to the Kit or looking for helpful hints on how to use it? Check out the Kids Kit Tips and Tricks - Elementary Edition where we share detailed instructions about the resources below.
Our elementary curriculum builds on the biblical foundation laid for kids in preschool. We want elementary kids to see the excellent character of our all-powerful God and why He is the hero of every story. We do that by looking at 36 godly character traits – one per month – with weekly Finish Lines that teach kids about God, His Word, and how He can help us reflect His character to the world.
Our character trait for March is CONSISTENCY! Check out the Monthly Overview for a snapshot of everything we will be learning about this month.

Teacher: Meal Time
READ JAMES 1:22-25. What does James tell us we are to do with God’s Word? (Listen and follow what it says.) Why do you think it is important to let God’s Word guide our actions? (It is a way for us to show our love for God. God loves us and He gave us His Word which tells us how to live in a way that is best.) Does following God’s Word and doing the right thing save us from our sins or make God love us more? (No way! Believing in Jesus’ death and resurrection is the only way to be saved.) Take some time to share different Scriptures that have impacted you and shown you how to live in a way that is pleasing and honoring to God.
Friend: Drive Time
Play “telephone” with this month’s memory verse (Psalm 119:4-6). Instead of regular telephone, each person will say a word from the memory verse. The next person will say that word/phrase and the next word in the verse. Have each person keep adding words when it is their turn until you are saying the entire verse.
Counselor: Bedtime
Read James 1:17. Thank God for staying consistent and keeping His promises in a world that keeps changing what it says is truth. Thank God for the Bible and ask Him to help you be guided by His consistent Word even when tempted to believe another way is best.
Coach: Anytime
As a family, spend time this week picking out a few verses from God’s Word that you want to guide your actions day by day. Feel free to make these verses the core of any family values that you want your family to pursue. If you are looking for somewhere to start, try reviewing the memory verses for the character traits we have learned about this year.
Prayer
Father, thank you for the Bible. Your word stays consistent and true through a world that keeps changing. Please help me stay guided by your Word when I am tempted to believe another way is best.
