Compassion in El Salvador
Half of the population’s children in El Salvador survive on less than $1.25 a day, and most struggle with homelessness, child labor, lack of schooling, or malnourishment. Since 2017, Watermark Community Church has been committed to bringing hope to the nation of El Salvador through Compassion International’s Child Sponsorship program and investment in local churches.
As of 2023, our Members sponsor over 3,000 children living in poverty in El Salvador and invest in training thousands of local church pastors, young adults, and families.
Compassion International Children Sponsorship Program
For just $38 a month, you can create an impact on making sure a child’s basic needs are met, such as: education, healthcare, biblical discipleship, safety, and a chance to break the chain of poverty.
Investment in Local Christian Leaders
Starting in 2019, Watermark Members began travelling to El Salvador to connect and invest in local churches and Compassion Centers. We have hosted several conferences encouraging thousands of local church pastors, young adults, and marriages in El Salvador.
New Child Survival Center in El Salvador
Because of your generosity, Watermark's partnership with Compassion is helping to fund a new Child Survival Center in El Salvador that will focus on healthcare and discipleship to at-risk pregnant mothers.
