As Christians, we have an opportunity and responsibility in our country to make good and God-honoring decisions when it comes to voting for government officials and engaging with others. Watermark is hosting monthly roundtables to help members learn how to apply biblical principles leading up to the election. Each roundtable will feature a guest speaker from professors to local elected officials and will include a forum for discussion.
The September roundtable will be joined by Dr. Andrew T. Walker to discuss how Christians should be engaging with the political process around them: how to honor God, think deeply, and steward your vote.
Dr. Andrew T. Walker is the Associate Dean in the School of Theology and Associate Professor of Christian Ethics and Public Theology at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as the Director of the Carl F. H. Henry Institute for Evangelical Engagement. Additionally, he is a fellow in Christian Political Thought at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and serves as the Managing Editor of WORLD Opinions. You can read more about Dr. Andrew T. Walker here.
