Story Behind the Song

Psalm 121 says, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” In some way everyone struggles with only focusing on their circumstances or their struggles instead of looking up, seeing the Lord, and reminding ourselves that He is on His throne. He is in control of everything. In darkness, in waiting, in stillness, He is there. And it’s up to us as followers of Jesus to lift our eyes to Him. There’s no mountain, no valley, no trial, no circumstance that can keep us from His love. He heeds our prayers. May we fix our eyes upon Him, the author and perfecter of our faith.
