I was born and raised in Louisiana and have known who Jesus was for as long as I can remember. Growing up, being successful in sports and achieving in academics took up most of my time, and I found myself striving for perfection in all avenues of life. I moved to Texas to attend TCU (Go Frogs!) on a full basketball scholarship, and I realized during college that the foundation I thought I had in the Lord was actually built on sand. Once I graduated, I was left empty and hopeless with what felt like a completely misplaced identity in who I was.
Fast forward to 2014 – I was a member at Watermark and started attending re:generation. This was the ministry and the year that God used to transform my heart and to show me what it means to be in right relationship with Him. I understood God’s character for the first time and began to live in freedom because of what Jesus did for me on the cross. I always thought my life had to be perfect to be in relationship with Him, and I understood for the first time that God wants to meet me in my brokenness. I was set free.
After 8 years in corporate recruiting, I now get to spend my days reminding people of the hope and freedom Christ offers all of us through the same ministry that pointed me to Him back in 2014. When I’m not working, you can find me seeking out the best Tex-Mex in Dallas, drinking craft coffee, being outdoors, hanging with friends, or spending time with my goldendoodle, Wrigley.
