At the most basic level, to be a “disciple” is to be a learner, but it can be difficult to know what that means or how learning affects your life. Sunday Equipping Courses will grow any believer in their knowledge and love of God.
Each class seeks to equip and encourage through courses on doctrine, discipleship, and the drama of Scripture.
Doctrine classes include theology and history that help us know God truly and worship rightly. These courses will establish you in a sure and steady foundation of Christian theology that has been shared by believers everywhere for more than 2,000 years.
Discipleship includes more hands-on classes like spiritual disciplines, apologetics, and stewardship. Learn how to apply God’s Word in every area of your life to be a wholly equipped follower of Christ.
Drama refers to the storyline of Scripture, including how to read the Bible and see it as one redemptive story. God’s work does not stop with the pages of Scripture. Grow in your ability to handle God’s Word rightly and see yourself in the continuing “drama” of God’s saving work today.
Because Sunday Equipping Courses are scheduled before our 9 AM service, Kids Ministry is not available at this time.
Unless you are parking with small children or require accessible parking spots, we recommend that participants park in the parking garage structure for closest access to the East Tower classrooms. Please do not park in the South or East parking lots in order to serve those with small children and accessibility needs.
These courses are specifically geared toward Watermark members, so we’d ask that only members or those who are currently in the membership process attend these courses.
No, current course offerings do not require homework for participation. However, additional resources will be recommended for participants who wish to dig deeper outside of class time.
If you have to pick between attending a service and a course on any given Sunday, we urge you to choose the Sunday service every single time, without exception. These courses are a good “side dish,” but Sunday services are the main course!
