Meet David

I was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to Dallas when I was 7. At 9 I attended Sky Ranch where I understood I was a sinner in need of a Savior. Unfortunately I had the head knowledge but not much heart knowledge of what that meant. Even though I had Godly men pouring into me I never made the connection of what a follower of Christ looked like.

My relationship with the Lord became more about following rules than following Jesus. Unfortunately that led to being 32, living alone in a hotel room, after going through a divorce. I was reading the book of John and in chapters 14-17 I realized I had not fully submitted my life to Christ. It was at that moment when I became a follower of Jesus and although I still made some poor decisions, I was a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17).

Shortly after that I met my wife Robbin, we got married, and started our family. During that time God began to refine me of my past struggles with control, isolation, people pleasing, and apathy. Although I still struggle with all of those things, through His Word, His Spirit, and His people I am always being spurred on to love others like Jesus.

Robbin and I have 3 great kids – Paige, Mollie, and Drew. We love to be together, traveling, laughing, and playing games. I am a Baylor Bear and love playing and watching all kinds of sports.

The verses that have impacted my life the most are – Joel 2:25, John 14:1, 6, 15:5, Col. 3:16-17, 1 John 5:13 – they all remind me that God is sovereign, He loves me, and gave Jesus for me, a sinner in need of a Savior!
