I grew up around Dallas and married my high school sweetheart, Angie. We have two adult children, a son and a daughter. I learned about Jesus and the sacrifice He made for me at a young age, but I was in my 30s before I truly understood what it looks like to surrender to and follow Christ completely. My first exposure to Watermark occurred in 2011 when I walked into re|engage, Watermark’s marriage discipleship ministry. My marriage was in a state of complete brokenness and despair. God used the people at re|engage and the lessons learned to radically transform my marriage and personal relationship with Him. Angie and I now serve in re|engage, where we continually witness God’s power as He redeems and restores marriages.
I graduated from Midwestern State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. After working at a local police department for 27 years, God unexpectedly opened a door for me to join the Watermark staff in 2024. I am grateful to work at a place where dependence upon Christ is paramount. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially when snow skiing and playing tennis or pickleball.
