Hi y’all, I hope this finds you well! My name is Dyann, pronounced Diane, like the song “Jack and Diane” or like the famous journalist, Diane Sawyer. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and so by default, I am a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Dallas traffic!
I grew up going to church believing that good things happen to good people, but I didn’t fully comprehend who Jesus was. In 2012, my brother died unexpectedly, and in three short months the Lord brought me back to Him by giving me a peace I couldn’t explain and a freedom that I never knew was possible (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2015 with a degree in communications. After college, I moved back to Dallas and started working for a public relations and crisis communications firm.
In the summer of 2015, I was first introduced to Watermark through the Young Adults Ministry called The Porch which eventually led me to join staff here at Watermark in 2018 on the External Focus Team, where I get the privilege to help folks in our body get connected to opportunities to serve outside the walls of our church.
I have been married to my fun-loving husband, Doug, since 2019. In my spare time you can find me fast-forwarding through TV shows and movies, reading a good book by the fire, brunching with my husband, enjoying the outdoors, and playing board games.
